Striped Scalloped Top
When I saw Simplicity 3141, I immediately decided it was too cute to pass up, and I had to have it in my summer wardrobe. I found this linen blend stripe looked like it would be very versatile for summer, but because it was very lightweight (meaning see-through), I thought it would be a good idea to fully line it, instead of just doing facings like the pattern showed.
The pattern came together easily and had good directions, and I used this method to line it and put it together, which worked really well. I didn’t want to have a crop top, so I lengthened it a couple inches, but I think next time I only need to do 1”, as I will definitely be making this pattern again.
However, because I did it differently from the pattern and lined it, I had a lot of leftover fabric and was able to make a skirt from it!
