Belted White Suit

I love having a white suit for summer and spring. It’s so versatile and a bright change from traditional dark colors that prevail. This one is made from McCalls 5817, and it’s such a classic look. (Sadly, it is out of print, but there are so many blazer patterns out there right now that this look would be easy to create). This one is made out of a cotton/polyester blend, and is lined with batiste. I have made the version with capped sleeves before (which are really fun to put together), but that one was out of a quilting cotton that eventually wore out. Both versions give off retro vibes (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries anyone?!), and I’ve never felt out of style in it, despite wearing it for over ten years now.
